A Subway restaurant becomes Happy Gilmore’s ‘Happy Place’ for a one day pop-up

On Friday, Aug. 8, Subway, which has had a collaboration with the “Happy Gilmore” film since the original movie was released in 1996, is transforming one of its restaurants at 1801 Pico Blvd. in Santa Monica into the “Happy Place,” the surreal and serene dream world where Adam Sandler’s character mentally escapes to in order manage his anger.
