Dirtiest beaches in SoCal

The water at the Santa Monica Pier is some of the dirtiest along the West Coast, according to Heal the Bay’s 2025 beach report card. The Santa Monica-based nonprofit grades beaches on how much fecal indicator bacteria is detected in the water throughout the year.
