Zbur bill would require flight over fight before lethal force could be used in self defense

A proposal by a local lawmaker to restrict the use of lethal force for self defense has drawn a quick response from supporters and critics alike. State Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur introduced Bill 1333 last week to substantially narrow the legal justification for homicide in California.
