Santa Cruz’s Maya Letona, Greta Gustafson start 2-0 CIF State Wrestling Championships

In her second match, Gustafson earned a 7-1 decision over Santa Monica freshman Taira Sakamoto, the third-place finisher in the Southern Section. Aptos senior Camila Barranco and Scotts Valley sophomore Tyler France each went 1-1. Aptos sophomore Alex Quintero lost her only match of the day. All three are still competing in the consolation bracket.
