Resort fees are fraud when your hotel looks out at a Carl's Jr. and a California traffic jam

This Koreatown high-rise hotel, which I booked for its mid-range (not fleabag) price and proximity to the Korean spa I was treating myself to for Mother’s Day, is a resort. Or it claims to be. How do I know?
