One person died in a multiple-vehicle crash on the eastbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway in Santa Monica late Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol. The crash happened about 10 p.m. Wednesday near Centinela Avenue and prompted a SigAlert on the freeway for more than five hours before it reopened early Thursday,
